Highland Porridge



Ingredients-
3 cups (750 ml) water
1 1/3 (330 ml) cups large flake oats/ corn flakes/ wheat flakes
1/2-cup (125 ml) dry milk powder
2 tablespoons (30 ml) Natural Brown sugar
1-tablespoon (15 ml) butter
1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cinnamon
1/4-teaspoon (1 ml) allspice
1/4-teaspoon (1 ml) salt, to taste
Preparation-

Icing-
Handful raisins (optional)
Bring salted water to boil in a large pot. Stir in all the ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with milk or cream and a sprinkling of Natural Brown.

Makes 4 servings.
